Boston - Day 2
Bright and early the next day (2PM), we headed out to explore the city in daylight. We parked the car near the dim sum restaurant we had lunch, then walked around to Boston Crossing...looked at the animated winter scene in the Macy's window (Clip still being approved...stay tuned)...
...then we got some fried dough doused in sugar and cinnamon (that would prove to be my favourite thing to eat while walking around town), right here @ the top of the steps which leads to Faneuil Hall (it's hard to see the landmark grasshopper on top...but it's there).
Just behind Faneuil Hall is Quincy Market. It's hard to imagine patriots and angry mobs protesting around here. It's now full of commercial stores and restaurants on both sides. We stopped here long enough to buy a few New Year's necessities, warm up and take a cup of hot chocolate for the road.
Here's another view taken from the outdoor shopping mall's second level.
